2008 -2009 Hingham Girls Hockey Registration

Two Ways to Register:
  1. WEBSITE: www.hinghamgirlshockey.com: Login with your member ID and password - Click Here to go to the Login Page and you may login or select the "Forgot Password" link. If you were not registered for HGH for 2007-2008, then select "Create an Account" to begin the on-line registration process. Follow the registration instructions after logging in. Pay Online using a Credit Card (VISA, Master Card or Discover)
  2. MAIL: Download All Forms and Mail with a check to: Hingham Girls Hockey, P.O. Box 563, Hingham MA 02043.

You will have the option to make the minimum registration fee payment or payment in full at time of Registration.

ALL REGISTRATION FORMS MUST BE COMPLETED AND RECEIVED BY APRIL 1, 2008 TO BE GUARANTEED A SPOT FOR THE 2008-2009 SEASON

There are some new programs and policies for the 2008-2009 season. They include the following:

1. Online registration. We urge all families to complete the online registration through the web site at http://www.hinghamgirlshockey.org/registration.html. All players who participated in the 2006-2007 or 2007-2008 season already have their information in the database. You just need to log in to access your information and register. If you don’t have or cannot recall your player’s user name, follow the instructions to have it emailed to you.

2. Full time goaltenders must register with HGH and through USA Hockey for the insurance portion and pay only the $35 at that site. There is no additional cost.

3. We will be putting together an in house program at the U10 Level. We expect to have 12 weeks of hockey at the Pilgrim B Rink beginning just after Thanksgiving. The season will include one practice/game each week and the scheduled powerskating clinics. We are discussing inter-league games with some of the other towns.

4. In the event your child plays on another Hockey team or plays another sport which conflicts with HGH practices or games, it is the expectation of Hingham Girls Hockey that such absences from HGH practices and/or games will be handled evenly and fairly between the multiple teams or sports. HGH does encourage our participants to play other sports. Conflicts do arise when parents do not respect the time and effort that is put into a team by the other players and coaches. Parents are required to notify the head coach in advance of such absences. HGH asks parents to respect the time and effort put in by the players, coaches, and organization and to be fair to both teams when making decisions on which game or practice to attend.

Registration and Dues Policy:

Registration fee and all past due fees must be paid in full in order to tryout.

All fees and dues must be paid according to the payment schedule located on the website registration page, in order to practice and play. Players will not be placed on team rosters and will not be allowed to skate until they are paid in full. Players not paid in full by August 1 may be placed on a waiting list and their spot on the team may be filled.
Dues are not refundable after August 1, 2008. Exceptions to this are as follows:

i. Player moves out of Hingham. Registration fee is not refundable, dues are refunded on a pro-rated basis based on games left of schedule.
ii. Player injury or medical reason does not allow them to play for 4 weeks or more. Registration fee is not refundable, dues may be refunded on a pro-rated basis based on games left of schedule.
iii. U10 registration fees and dues are fully refundable (until Oct. 1) if child does not play.

REGISTRATION FEES AND PROCEDURES
All players must be registered and have paid the registration fee before they will be allowed on the ice for any tryouts. All HGH fees must be paid in full by August 15, 2008 or the players may be removed from their team and another player assigned that spot. Payments not complete by September 1, 2008 will have a $100 late fee added to the program dues. Payment plans are available, but they must be approved by the Board of Directors. Full or partial scholarships are available based on financial need. If you are in need of financial assistance, please contact Larry Levin (email: lslevinesq@aol.com
or call at 781-740-1515).

Players must be registered for the coming season before they are assigned a tryout number on the first night of tryouts. No player will be allowed on the ice without a registration form and a paid registration fee. Registrations will be taken during tryouts; however, we highly encourage everyone to register on-line or during registration night. Any balances due from the 2007-2008 season must be paid in full or any player from the immediate family may not be allowed to tryout.

FEES:
We want to offer a brief explanation as to our fees. The costs for ice and equipment has risen significantly, and, after several years of not raising fees, we have been left with no alternative.

For the 2008 – 2009 season the player fees for HGH will be as follows:
$950 U12/U14 ($300 Registration fee included)
$265 U19 Games Only (Payment in full required)
$350 U19 Games plus Power skating (Payment in full required)
$275 U10 (Payment in full required)
$300 3rd Child Discount Fee

All of the above require a separate registration fee of $35 through USA Hockey for the USA/Mass Hockey fees ($30 & $5).

The $300 Registration Fee must be paid prior to the Tryouts.

Anyone not paid in full by September 1, 2008 will be subject to a late fee of $100.00.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
If you are not paying in full, please note the payment schedule in the Registration documents. For 2008-2009 season, all monies, will be due in full by August 1, 2008. This schedule gives a family a 5 month period from March to August 1 to spread out the payments. Any player not paid in full by that time will not be issued a team sweater or allowed to practice or play with his or her team. Any player paying after September 1, 2008, will also be assessed a $100 late fee. The HGH Board of Directors is a volunteer organization. Any time spent on trying to collect outstanding fees only takes away from our primary purpose of providing the best hockey experience for the kids that we can. Please pay on time. HGH also offers scholarships to any families that are experiencing a financial hardship. To be considered, please submit a written request to Larry Levin (email: lslevinesq@aol.com or call at 781-740-1515).

Please note that the $300 will apply to the least expensive level first.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

We are encouraging everyone to use the HGH website for Registration. Here is the link for the HGH Registration Page, http://www.hinghamgirlshockey.org/registration.html You should go to the Registration Page and click on “Player Login Page”. At that page you can login for existing players or you can create an account for new registers. If you cannot remember your login information and you have received an email from HGH about registration for the upcoming season, click on “forgot password” in the login section of the website, and enter your email address. The login information for all players associated with that email address will be sent to you. From there you should follow the instructions, complete the registration process and make your payment online with a credit card. Please be as complete as possible with the information you are inputting during the registration process. All of this information is required by HGH as well as Mass Hockey and USA Hockey. Also, the more complete your information is input into the database, the better HGH is able to contact you and keep you apprised of all things going on with HGH. There is a very complete set of instructions and information on the above mentioned Registration Page.

Important! Once you have your account information, it is important to maintain ONE account for EACH player you have in the program. This will be the account we tie to your player's team, USAH, future payments, email, etc.

If you have multiple children in the program, you must log out of one account to access the other.

Coaching:

Anyone interested in coaching, as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach, must fill out a Coaching Application and CORI Form and Mail them by May 1, 2008 to: Larry Levin, 8 Country Drive, Hingham, MA 02043
